Our chimney work includes repointing and re-rendering, rebuilding, full or partial removal, new flaunching and pot replacement, and fitting cowls or capping to redundant stacks. Where a disused chimney is causing damp, we can weatherproof it with a silicone-based sealant coating.

What are the signs my chimney stack needs repair?
Look for damp patches on the chimney breast or ceiling, crumbling or missing mortar, a leaning stack, loose or cracked pots, and pieces of mortar or render on the roof or in the gutter. If you spot any of these, we will inspect the stack and recommend the most cost-effective fix.
Can you remove a chimney I no longer use?
Yes. We carry out full or partial removals, making good the roof where the stack came through. If you would rather keep the stack, we can cap it with a vented cowl to keep the rain out and the flue ventilated.
Do you repoint and re-flaunch chimneys?
Yes. Repointing, re-rendering, new flaunching, pot replacement, cowls and new lead flashings are all part of our chimney work, and we can also weatherproof a disused stack with a silicone-based coating.
Will I need scaffolding for chimney work?
In most cases, yes. A stack sits at the highest and most exposed point of the roof and needs a safe working platform. Scaffolding is included in our estimate so there are no surprises.
