We form and fit chimney flashings, box gutters, valleys, bay and porch roofs, dormer cheeks, shop fronts and decorative leadwork. All code-sized lead is worked and dressed by hand to traditional standards.

What is roof leadwork used for?
Lead is used wherever a roof meets something else: chimney flashings, valleys between roof slopes, box gutters, dormer cheeks, bay and porch roofs, and abutments to walls. Correctly formed and dressed lead is the most durable way to keep those junctions watertight.
Why choose lead over mortar or a sealant flashing?
Mortar fillets crack and sealant flashings fail within a few years. Lead, worked in the correct code and properly fixed, moves with the building and can last for generations. It is also the traditional finish for period and heritage properties.
